I thought this was pretty funny. I like the idea of raising the profile of atheism. I don't support proselytizing, of course, but I'd be happy if more people felt comfortable acknowledging their lack of faith publicly. It's annoying to see Christian billboards while driving on the highway, although I've always thought giant crosses were entertaining. Nothing can match their sheer absurdity.
Would we find space?
For the Ethical Society I think proselytizing is always a good notion. I talk to lots of folks about my iunvolvement andthere is always lots fo interest, particularly from folks in St. Louis who know our building and have heard our name but no nothing else about us. (This is the site of the group with the billboard.)
I wonder if we would have trouble finding someone who would rent a billboard for this kind oa message?
